Member Equipment Standards
All Praetorian Guard (AMPG) members are responsible for obtaining and maintaining their own equipment, supplies, ammunition, weapons, and transportation. This list specifies unit minimum personal equipment standards for all personnel. Unit leadership and/or Squad Leaders may modify uniform/equipment requirements to meet mission specific needs. For example, civilian clothing in an urban reconnaissance, goggles in ORV ops, etc. New members may request unit assistance in purchasing equipment and will be granted a grace period to obtain the standardized equipment on a case-by-case basis.
NOTE: Some equipment may not be listed on this website for security reasons. Check with your Squad Leader for the most current requirements.
Member uniforms will consist of the following:

ATACS/AU BDU trousers and top, 2 each. AU pattern is used for winter in AZ. The BDU top may be substituted with the ATACS/AU Combat Shirt.

ATACS/AU Boonie Hat. When authorized, the ATACS/AU Ball Cap may be worn.

ATACS/FG BDU trousers and top, 2 each. FG pattern is used for summer in AZ. The BDU top may be substituted with the ATACS/FG Combat Shirt.

ATACS/FG Boonie Hat. When authorized, the ATACS/FG Ball Cap may be worn.

Tan/ATACS/AU/Desert Combat Boots. High ankle boots recommended.

Tactical Vest or Armor Vest. Vest should be suitable camouflage. Vest should have sufficient pouches to carry magazines, radio, smoke canisters, and other tactical equipment.

Combat Gloves suitable for multiple tasks, including firearms use.

Brown/OD/ATACS Face Cover/Hood

Black/Brown/Olive Drab Socks.

Sunglasses, shooting glasses, or Goggles. Sunglasses and goggles must be shatter-proof.

Additional items are optional, such as scarves. Optional items must conform to the style of required items and must be in good taste. Unit or squad leaders may dictate the removal of any additional items for any reason.

Rain Gear

NBC Protective Gear. Mask, filters, etc.
Utility items will consist of the following minimum equipment:

3 Day Assault Pack (Unit movements/Expeditions).

1 Day Assault Pack (Patrols).

Large Knife. Or bayonet, Leatherman, entrenching tool.

2 Canteens (integrated Camelback is optional, but additional).

Ear Plugs.

Sleeping bag.
-
LED Flashlight. White, red, blue lens/lights.

Compass.

Personal First Aid Kit. Kit must include a clotting agent (QuickClot or Celox), a burn ointment, standard first aid items, and a minimum 3 day supply of any personal medications.

Personal Hygiene Kit and utensils (stainless steel)

Fire Starting Tool

Additional items are optional, but are secondary to the required items above.
Weapons, Tactical Gear, and Consumables:

Suitable Rifle and cleaning kit. Each member will determine the appropriate accessories for their firearm (unless assigned a specific postion with set requirements). If magazines are required, member will have 6 or more available.

Binoculars or Monocular or NVG or Thermal gear or High Power Rifle Scope

3 day supply of MRE’s and water. Additional supplies are encouraged, but not required.

Water Filter

Minimum 200 rounds rifle ammunition with adequate magazines. Members should attempt to maintain an adequate supply of ammunition. Significantly higher quantities are highly recommended.

Optional items: 800-5,000 additional rounds rifle ammunition, 7-14 day supply MRE’s/water, standard unit radio with headset and microphone, Sidearm (must have level III waist or leg holster; NO shoulder or cross-draw holsters), additional items as required/desired.

Correct wear of all patches is defined in the Praetorian Guard Field Manual. Limited types of equipment may be issued to individual members as required for specific missions or tasks. Such equipment remains the property of PRAETORIAN GUARD and shall be returned when ordered.
